The search for wisdom has been truncated and termed futile. No wonder Kogi state, even with its 29 mineral resources deposit available in commercial quantities, still manage to be so under developed. Each of the 21 LGAs has at least 2 mineral deposits. Kogi  holds reserves of at least 99 million tonnes of coal, enough to supply all of Nigeria power for 400 years. The limestone in Kogi can accommodate 3 giant-sized cement factories (with over 15 million tonnes annual capacity) operational for an unbroken stretch of 99 years. That is one state out of 36 states! For several years it has become a custom to deny the needy basic amenities either by hoarding, price hike, selfish purchases and/or the provision of substandard goods. Fuel prices must go up, it must be hoarded and most times adulterated substances are sold. This results in the poor not being able to buy fuel, they have to park their cars and enter public transport. Their efficiency and productivity level drops. Prov. 20:26, “A wise King stamps out crime by severe punishment” Crime in Nigeria is very high. A group of people are exempted from punishment, some people are specially pardoned, some others are not even questioned at all, while some others do not know the difference between crime, corruption, evil and being good.
