ENTREPRENEURIAL LESSONS FROM DeeTouch

We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the word of life. – 1 John 1:1 Firsthand experience is the key to achieving a productive and industrialized nation. For a long time, Nigeria has been neglecting the importance of “work of our Hands” by its citizens. Nigeria needs people who have not only heard of our problems, but people who have seen the problem and entangle themselves with the course of solving the problem. The other day I watched a bride preparing for marriage, I thought, “how can she lay down her guard and allow a stranger mutilate her face with chemicals all in the name of make-up?” This was her reply, “I have known her works, they are splendid and all her works are for good” Wow! That means if I want a job done, I must recruit people with a history of achievement, People who are committed, people who are capable and People whose interest are at s...

Shadow of a Country

I THINK EVERY NIGERIAN THAT LOVES NIGERIA OUGHT TO READ THIS WITH PATIENCE. The biggest country in Africa that the United Kingdom colonized is Nigeria.  The biggest country that the United Kingdom colonized in Asia is India (which then comprised the present Pakistan and Bangladesh).  When the UK came into Nigeria and India, like all other countries they colonized, they brought along their technology, religion (Christianity), and culture: names, dressing, food, language, etc. Try as hard as the British did, India rejected the British religion, names, dressing, food, and even language, but they did not reject the British technology.  Today, 80.5% of Indians are Hindus; 13.4% Muslims; 2.3% Christians; 1.9% Sikhs; 0.8% Buddhists, etc.  Hindi is the official language of the government of India, but English is used extensively in business and administration and has the status of a “subsidiary official language.”  It is rare to find an Indi...

KINGS COURT

“When you remove corrupt men from the king’s court, his reign will be just and fair” - Prov. 25:5. It is not enough for you as a leader to be pure, your advisers and counsel members also need to be pure. Corruption is a disease, it kills gradually and if not detected on time and handled quickly, can ruin an entire kingdom, country, company or community. It has been said many times, “you cannot continue the same way and expect a different result.” I thought we are in the era of change, then why is everyone in authority being recycled, no new input no notable change agent, no different strategy, no vanguard, no different ideology, rather we are fortifying strategies for the blame game. My father taught me saying, “whenever I occupy a seat of authority, I should not compare myself with the former occupants, I should not use their achievements as my benchmark. Rather, I should concentrate on setting a high standard or an outstanding record that generations to come after I ...
