Today in History

Hi and welcome to another beautiful Thursday morning with us. Now since it has become a popular tradition for us to post old pics/videos or even stories about the past, I decided to look up today's date in History and I was shocked to find may events that took place on this very day years ago. Now we are just going to pick a few and shed some light on it for you but I highly recommend going back and taking time to really read the entire thing. Now let's begin shall we . Today in History (January 13) 1939 – The Black Friday bushfires burn 20,000 square kilometers of land in Australia, claiming the lives of 71 people. The Black Friday bushfires of 13 January 1939, in Victoria, Australia, were part of the devastating 1938–1939 bushfire season in Australia, which saw bushfires burning for the whole summer, and ash falling as far away as New Zealand. It was calculated that three-quarters of the State of Victoria was directly or indirectly affected by the disaster, while other Austra...

A little love this morning

Image
Hi, how are you? Now I was meant to talk about a simple DIY but I couldn't find one that was close to being achievable here(yet) so I thought, why not throw in little something on love. I'm sure we all have that special someone in our lives. You can be in a relationship or single like me but still have a special place in your heart for them...Hope you like it. How I feel I wish that you could see what I see,the beauty that stands before me could be compared to the sea. The beauty of the sea and the calmness that it radiates to my soul is what I feel when I'm with you and though you might doubt me but what I just said is absolutely true. Your smile gives me a certain glow that I've only seen when I look at the sun and though it sounds sweet,my eyes never found that fun. At night when i look up the sky and see the stars guess what I see....I see a reflection of your heart. it radiates so much love that all I feel around me is your warmth.  Please grant me this...

Is it just a picture or..

Image
Growing up I always heard people say that you can tell a story just by looking a picture. It can a painting, illustration, drawing or even a random photo but the main gist of rather story is that you can tell a story by looking at it. The story can either be what you think the painter qas trying to tell his audience or just maybe what you want it to tell. Today we are going to look for a picture that we could tell a story from. Ok...ok..well I can totally relate to this picture and I don't mean like 50%..i mean like 1000%(if that's possible). I don't think I want to tell a story anymore but rather I'll try and share with you what the artist had in mind while he drew this. Now for me to do this,I will not just speak for the artist,I will become the artist(in my head though). Ok.. Let's begin shall we….. I want to assume that my faher and mother never truly loved each other before they had me because their frequent argument and lifestyle was just so full of...

Movie Review; American Skin

Image
American Skin... American Skin is a 2019 American drama film written and directed by Nate Parker. It stars Parker, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Shane Paul McGhie, Milauna Jackson and Beau Knapp. Now I watched this movie early last month and I regretted not knowing about it sooner. i actually got to know about it from tiktok and i made It my duty to look for the full movie and watch it. Now the movie is great and educational, the cast is great, directing, producing, editing etc all were quite spot on(for me. you might have. different opinion). I will try to make this review as quick and understandable as possible so as not to bore you. The movie started with a African American efather being pulled over with his teenage son by the police(who happen to d white...not quite shocked). Now this man was a former Marine but because he knew how people of his color were treated, he put himself in a position to show that he posed no danger: He put both hands on his steering wheel but tha...

Image
Fridays are my favorites because i can finally say goodbye to the stress of the week and kick off my shores while losing myself in the warm embrace of the weekend. It has been a hectic week but thank God we pulled through. So... we are counting down the top 10 movies of the week..i decided to mix things by also included old movies along with recent movies..i really hope you like it.. 10. . Jigsaw After a series of murders bearing all the markings of the Jigsaw killer, law enforcement officials find themselves chasing the ghost of a man who has been dead for over a decade, and they become embroiled in a new game that's only just begun. Is John Kramer back from the dead to remind the world to be grateful for the gift of life? Or is this a trap set by a killer with designs of his own? This movie actually got me glued to my seat from the beginning till the end credits and I didn't even know. the movie has a lot of twists and turns but trust me.. you will love it.. if yo...

My opinion on Sly's case

Image
Today I wanted to voice my opinion on the whole Sylvester Oromoni case. I have followed this case from the very first day up till now and honestly speaking as much as i am disappointed with the final verdict,I can not say that I did not expect this. ok..for those who don't know the story,I'll just say something small and let you go read about it.  Now Sylvester was a student of Dowen college Lagos. He was a charming and lively soul(although I never knew him personally I could tell just by looking at him). Now on the 30th of November 2020,i had casually and jejely opened my phone so as to look for who to annoy with my daily flashing but I got a notification from my PHX Browser about a boy who had been killed because he refused to join their cult.. Now I won't lie,I thought this was another ridiculous story that I normally read but I was not prepared for what I saw next. The poor child had been beaten up and given something to consume all because according to what...
