LOUD IT



Proposed Idea

LOUD IT is a monologue competition series broadcast on YouTube. It aims to find new talent contested by poets, spoken word artist and actors who shall deliver and perform monologues in form of spoken word. The finalist shall be drawn from public audition.

The winner is determined by public voting by comments, likes and views on YouTube. The winner will receive an ambassadorial staff of office, a certificate, an opportunity to publish a poetry chapbook and two free tickets to attend two poetry/literary festivals in Nigeria.

Within his or her year as an ambassador of loud it, the winner shall also go on a tour of tourist attraction and produce a monologue documentary of his visit as a way of promoting culture and tourism in Enugu state.

Objectives

1. To provide a platform for creatives to be heard bringing exposure to the participants.

2. To boost capacity and skills amongst the creatives, to help them develop their memorization and better speaking skills.

3. To encourage more literary and oratory works that guide people towards productivity and positivity.

4. Place Nigeria on the map and promote Nigerian tourism and culture.

LOUD IT COMPETITION PROCESS

1. Interested participants are added to a WhatsApp group from June 10th to June 30th.

2. Participants are required to pay a registration fee of N500.00. To Emphire Touch First bank current account 2033036968 and send proof of payment to the WhatsApp group from June 10th to June 30th.

3. A single poem would be sent to participants to voice, and send back to the group from July 1st to July 7th.

4. These audio files will be sent to the judges via, WhatsApp, google drive or any means possible and the results are sent in from July 7th to July 10th.

5. Ten audio files would be selected, the selected persons would do a video, with a specific poem given to each of them. The video format must be clear and shot in a 16:9 (Horizontal) framing and sound must be clear. The video would be sent in via WhatsApp, telegram or Google drive from July 11th to July 22nd.

6. Any video that isn’t clear, or has a faulty sound would be disqualified.

7. The qualifying videos would be edited and posted on our YouTube channel from July 22nd to July 25th and the audience would vote (through likes, comments and viewership), the judges would watch and send in their thoughts and decide those who would go to the semifinal stage. The result would be published on the 25th of July, 2020.

8. Four candidates would be selected and invited to Enugu to enter for the Qualifying stage, these contestants would be paired to battle each other in the war of words this would happen and be filmed on the 30th of July, 2020.

9. The semifinal winners would be decided by three judges named the Good, the Bad and The Ugly. Each judge would have three colored cards Green, Amber and Red.

10. Two persons go into the finals and contest for a chance to win an ambassadorial staff and 5000.00 to become LOUD IT ambassador.

11. An ambassador would battle the winners of each season to retain or loose the staff of office.

12. The semifinals and finals video would be uploaded on the 31st of July, 2020.
